Sara Glojnarić’s music is intensely energetic and dense, driven by propulsive rhythms – yet at other times expansive and nostalgic, as if time had come to a standstill.

As a composer and curator, Clemens K. Thomas tells stories and negotiates burning questions of our time. Recurring motifs in his works are the processing of our everyday media and the nostalgic transfiguration of the past.

A cello on one’s back weighs seven kilos. Its tradition, however, weighs considerably more heavily and can sometimes even become a burden when breaking new ground. Valerie Fritz brings her vision to the stage with unwavering determination, impressing audiences with her versatile repertoire and innovative programme design. Among other honours, she has received the Berlin Prize for Young Artists and was named ECHO Rising Star for the 2025/26 season.

Miroslav Srnka’s international breakthrough came in 2016 when his opera South Pole was premiered at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich under Kirill Petrenko, in a production by Hans Neuenfels that featured Rolando Villazón and Thomas Hampson in the title roles.
